Bicycle Time Trials
 Results of the weekly events at Pt au Roche, NY
The 1997 season

Posted below are results of 15 weeks of racing from the 1997 season of the Pt au Roche time trials, running from May through August. (We do not know what happened on August 13 or 27.)
These result show 37 different riders recording 171 times, primarily on the 10-mile course, but with single rides of the 5-mile and 25-mile courses.
Jon Parks was the top rider with six wins and one second place in seven rides.
Allan Daigneault rode three times and won twice.
Mary Duprey was never topped in the women's competition.
 Jeff McLane posted the best time of the season, 22 minutes and 23 seconds. Jeff lives and races in Cincinnati but grew up here in the North Country. Close behind was Jon Parks who posted the next four fastest times of the season: 22:25, 22:27, 22:28 and 22:31. Now that's speed and consistancy!
The busiest Wednesday saw 18 participants. The most dependable riders were Dave Bilow and Ralph Senecal who each rode 13 weeks, followed by Mary Duprey and Don West with 12 rides each, Kevin Kearney with 11 and Gene Cassone with 10.
